Biography
Rain was born Nordan Shat on the 29th day of May 1996 in Toronto, Canada. Growing up, he lived with his parents and sister. As a child, he was awkward and was known at school for cracking jokes and making people laugh. He managed to maintain his grades in school as an “A” student even though he was still called to the principal’s office. He was also a fat boy, but at age 5 he lost weight.
When he was 7 years old, his parents started talking a lot. This caused a depression in young Nordan and his sister. He decided to focus his attention on video games and realized that he found happiness every time he played on his player console 2. His father ended up leaving the family, which worsened the state of depression while Nordan felt alone.

Faze Rain’s mother later married her former boss. His mother’s new marriage was a breakthrough in that Nordan bonded with his mother’s boss and took him with open hands as his stepfather. When Nordan became a teenager he got involved with a girl and after three years they broke up. This again led him to depression, this time it was so bad that he even attempted suicide by taking an overdose of Advil. He spent a week in the hospital and started seeing a therapist which lasted 3-4 years.
Nordan was advised by his therapist to focus on a hobby. This is how he started watching YouTube and in doing so, he got inspired to start his own channel. He started by providing the slots for Call of Duty and then he started with the creation of his own YouTube channel. YouTube and video games were how Faze Rain was able to cope with situations that caused her depression.

By 2016, Faze Rain had amassed 4 million subscribers. He has been able to garner millions of subscribers on his channel as his playing skills and strategies are considered to be the best in the industry. On the 20th of January 2016, he joined the “Faze clan”. The Faze Clan came into being in 2010 and they were ready to perform tricks in the call of duty.
The Faze Clan is an American esports organization owned by Thomas Oliveria that competes in Call of Duty, Counterattack: Global Offensive, and other games including EA sports FIFA tournaments. His Faze clan member Oliveria played with him on his channel.
Nordan Shat
Apart from the YouTube channel which is all about video games, he also runs a personal channel called Nordan Shat where he interacts more personally with his fans and uploads vlogs regularly. His videos are always full of positivism. Faze Rain shares how YouTubing helped him cope with his tough times. He also shares real-life lessons.
In one of his vlogs, he shared how he walked away from a guy who beat him up because he didn’t support violence. He created an alter ego known as Vape Lord Nord. Her alter ego appears in a dress, sunglasses and a hat.
Faze Rain – Girlfriend
Although Nordan got depressed due to a break in the past, in November 2014 he started dating a girl named Taylor. She still made frequent appearances in his videos. In December 2014, she featured in one of his videos titled “ Meet My Girlfriend ” where he featured her.
However, in early 2016, they broke up because they talked a lot and the long distance relationship was not working out for them. He had explained it in one of his vlogs. Since then, no new girl has been mentioned in his life. He is currently single.
Sister
Nordan has an older sister called Sally and two half siblings. In one of his videos, he says he is not very close to his stepsister, but he adores and admires his brother-in-law. Her sister has made appearances in her vlogs and in one of her “Meet my sister” vlogs; he and his sister had shared that they had too many conflicts to arise.
Faze’s sister was also the reason he had splints. That’s because he sucked his thumb like a child and that’s when she stuck his thumb in every time he cried.
