Laura Vandervoort is so many things that she will make your head spin, however, one thing that stands out is talent. Since appearing on the big screen via commercials and advertisements at the age of 13, she has gone on to play many roles as varied in terms of demands as the number of projects she was in. She is also a black belt trained martial artist. This allows her to perform many of her stunts whenever she is on set.

Laura was born on September 22, 1984 in Ontario, Canada, as Laura Dianne Vandervoort. The actress had a memorable childhood as she was raised well by her parents, as well as her sister Sarah. However, her life was not without complications, during the first weeks after her birth she fell ill with meningitis and was very ill for a few months.

Her next “lovescapade” was with TV personality and host Oliver Trevena who she started dating in mid-2013. Oliver popped the question to Laura on New Year’s Eve of the same year while they were in England. The actress’ engagement ring was first captured by the media in February 2014, and an engagement party was held the following month to celebrate their union. However, the wedding bell stopped ringing at the end of 2014, as evidenced by Laura’s emotional post, announcing their separation on December 31, 2014.
